MuscleFight Privacy Notice

This notice explains what personal information MuscleFight collects, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. It covers musclefight.com, your account at users.musclefight.com, and the emails and notifications we send.

MuscleFight is a trading name of Strengthnet Studios LLC, 2660 NE 192nd St, Miami, FL 33180, United States ("we", "us"). We are responsible for your personal information. You can reach us about anything in this notice at support@musclefight.com.

The short version

We collect what we need to run the store: your account, your purchases, your downloads, and the messages you send us.
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use advertising cookies or share your information with advertisers.
Our visitor statistics do not use cookies and do not store your IP address.
You can ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it, by emailing support@musclefight.com.

What we collect, and why

Your account

When you create an account, or when one is created for you at your first purchase, we store your email address, your name if you give one, and when the account was created. Your password is stored by our sign-in provider as a secure one-way hash; we never see it.

Why: to let you sign in, keep your purchases in one place, and contact you about your orders.

Your purchases

When you buy videos, we record which videos and quality you bought, the price, any discount or promo code applied, the date, your order number and the payment status. From Stripe we receive the name and email address you gave at checkout and your billing country (or, if that is missing, the country of your card). If Stripe issues an invoice for a purchase, we also store the links to it. With each payment we record at Stripe that you agreed to our Terms of Service and Refund Policy, and which version, so we can show what was agreed if a purchase is ever questioned.

Why: to deliver what you bought, send your order confirmation, handle refunds and disputes, keep the financial records the law requires, and understand which videos sell in which countries.

Checkouts that were started but not finished

If you reach Stripe's checkout page but don't complete the payment, Stripe tells us the email address entered, the videos in the cart and the amount. We use this only to understand where customers stop before paying. We don't email you about an unfinished checkout.

Downloads

For each video you own, we record how many download links have been created and when the last one was.

Why: to apply the download limits and the 30-day download window described in our Terms of Service, and to help if you contact us about a download problem.

Addresses

If you save addresses in your account, we store the names, postal address and phone number you enter.

Why: to keep them on file for you, for whatever you save them for.

Reviews, favourites and followed athletes

If you write a review, we store your rating, your review and the display name you choose. Approved reviews are public, shown with that display name. We also record the videos you favourite and the athletes you follow.

Why: to show reviews to other customers, and to show you your favourites and news about athletes you follow.

If you subscribe, we store your email address and a record of when and how you subscribed or unsubscribed. That record is how we can show you agreed. We ask you to confirm your address by email before we send you anything else.

When we send a newsletter, our email provider tells us whether it was delivered, bounced or marked as spam, and whether it was opened and which links were clicked. We store the address of the clicked page without anything after the "?", which keeps personal links such as your unsubscribe link out of those records. Some email apps report an "open" automatically whether or not you read the email, and others block it, so we don't treat opens as a measure of you.

Why: to send the newsletter you asked for, stop sending to addresses that no longer work, stop mailing anyone who reports us as spam, and see which parts of it interest readers.

Messages to support

When you use our contact form or email support@musclefight.com, we store your name, email address, your messages and our replies, the names of any attachments (the files themselves stay in our mailbox) and whether you were signed in. We also record whether each reply was delivered.

Why: to answer you and keep a record of the conversation.

Notifications in your browser

If you turn on notifications, your browser gives us a subscription address and encryption keys for sending to that browser. If you're signed in at the time, we link it to your account. We record when it was last confirmed as working.

Why: to send the release and sale notifications you asked for.

Preventing abuse

When someone uses our contact form, signs up for the newsletter or turns on notifications, and when emails arrive at our support address, we count the requests per IP address or per email address so that no person or bot can flood them. We store these in a scrambled (hashed) form rather than the address itself. Counters more than 24 hours old are cleared as new requests arrive, so one can last a little longer when the site is quiet.

Visitor statistics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits: which pages are viewed, the website that referred you, and your country, device type and browser. It does not use cookies and does not store your IP address; visits are counted with an identifier that is discarded after 24 hours. We remove anything after the page address itself (such as tracking codes in the links in our emails) before it is sent.

Server logs

Like any website, the companies that host and deliver ours (Vercel, Cloudflare and Supabase) automatically record technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser and the page requested, for security and to keep the service running. They keep these logs for limited periods under their own policies.

Cookies and storage in your browser

We only store what the site needs to work. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

Stripe's checkout page, which is Stripe's website rather than ours, uses its own cookies to process payments and prevent fraud. Our pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address in the process.

Because everything above is needed for the site to work, we don't ask for cookie consent. You can clear these at any time in your browser's settings; you'll be signed out and your cart will be emptied.

Who we share information with

We share personal information only with the companies that run parts of our service for us, and only what each one needs:

Our accounting software (Xero) receives monthly sales totals only, with no customer details.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, safety or property of our customers, ourselves or others. If our business is sold or merged, customer information would pass to the new owner, who would have to honour this notice.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Your account: until you ask us to delete it.
Purchase and payment records: for at least seven years, because they are financial records we are required to keep for tax and accounting purposes. We keep them even if you delete your account.
Records of your newsletter consent: for as long as we might need to show you agreed, including after you unsubscribe, so we never mail you again by mistake.
Unconfirmed newsletter sign-ups: they expire after 7 days, and we clear expired ones from time to time.
Support conversations: for as long as they may be needed to help you or to handle a later question about an order.
Abuse-prevention counters: cleared once they are more than 24 hours old, as new requests arrive.
Browser notification subscriptions: until you turn notifications off, or your browser tells us the subscription has ended.

Why we are allowed to use it

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the law requires us to tell you the legal basis for each use:

To perform our contract with you: your account, purchases, downloads and support.
Your consent: the newsletter and browser notifications. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Our legitimate interests: keeping the site secure, preventing fraud and abuse, counting visits, understanding unfinished checkouts, and publishing reviews. We only rely on these where they don't override your interests.
Legal obligation: keeping financial records.

Your choices and rights

Newsletter: every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and you can also change this in your account.
Browser notifications: turn them off in your browser's site settings.
Your rights: you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to receive it in a portable format. You can also object to our use of it or ask us to limit it. Wherever you live, we will honour these requests.

To make a request, email support@musclefight.com, ideally from the email address on your account. We may ask you to confirm it's you before we act. We'll reply within 30 days. We won't treat you differently for making a request.

If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your personal information except what we must keep: your purchase and payment records, and the record of your newsletter consent.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Security

We protect your information with measures such as encrypted connections, access controls that limit who can see customer data, and payment handling that never touches your card details. Video downloads use short-lived private links. No system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security; if a breach affecting you ever happens, we will tell you as the law requires.

Age

MuscleFight is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account or buy videos, and nothing on the site is aimed at children. If we learn that we hold personal information about someone under 18, we will delete it. If you think this has happened, please tell us at support@musclefight.com.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and store your information there. If you use MuscleFight from elsewhere, your information is transferred to the United States. Where the law requires it, our service providers protect those transfers with recognised safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Changes to this notice

If we change this notice, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll also tell you by email or with a notice on the site before it takes effect.
